Memorial Day Weekend

We visited J's family for the weekend and B had lots of fun with Grandpa, Grandma, and her aunts and uncle. Grandma works at a youth center, so there is a lot for B to do. B would have loved to go to the farm with Grandpa, but the weather just didn't cooperate. We'll have to save that for next time.

Car video games were a highlight. B loves to pretend to drive.

B also has a fascination with balls and the natural place to play with them is on the ping-pong table.

B is again playing with a ball. Grandpa was helping her roll it across the room.

"Little Miss Independent"

B is very independent. At the big kid park (the equipment is for kids older than B) B thinks she can do everything by herself. She will try everything too. She has no fear and will climb the highest ladders and go down the biggest slides, but she doesn't want any help.

This slide is two stories high and she goes all the way up and comes back down all by herself.

The top of this ladder is over my head and I have to reach a ways to get to the platform, but B insists on climbing all the way up. She can do it herself, but I have to stand there in case she gets scared (that hasn't happened). I get more scared than she does.

Daddy's Home

B loves it when Daddy is home. He is more fun than Mommy. B holds on to whatever she can when Daddy gives her a ride on his shoulders. I know B is not the only one having fun!

Zoo

Today was beautiful and we needed to have some fun while Daddy's away. So, we spent some time at the zoo with our friends. We all had fun watching and feeding the animals. Some of B's favorites were the tiger, monkeys, and anything she could feed (geese, ducks, donkeys, goats).

B loves to roar like the tiger. We didn't actually hear the tiger roar, but she knew what sound it made and kept saying roar.

B had fun throwing corn to the swans.

B also loved feeding the donkeys. At first she was a little timid to put her hand close to the donkeys mouth, but as soon as the donkeys started eating she couldn't do it enough.

The goats followed B up and down the fence to get fed because she was very generous with the food.

Mother's Day

We had a great Mother's Day. D's parents came to visit and B couldn't have been happier. She loves her "Pumma" and "Papa". She can't quite pronounce Grandma and Grandpa, but when they're around everything is about them.

"Pumma" has to go with B to check out the rocks.

B also enjoyed chasing bubbles outside. I don't think we will be able to do this again for a few days due to the wind (Ughh!).

Spring Is Here

If there is work to be done outside, B is your girl. She will help with any project if it means she can be outside. It was down right hot on Monday, so we had to get some spring projects done around the house. Maybe B will be able to help Mommy mow the yard this summer (just kidding).

B thinks she can shovel the dirt just as well as Daddy.

B loves to help move the rocks, even when we don't need her to.

No Snow!

It didn't snow this weekend! We were so thankful. We actually had a very warm weekend and were able to spend a lot of time outside. B loves to play Basketball, especially when Daddy helps her shoot the ball.

Last Day Outside?

We had to get one day outside before the predicted snow for the coming weekend. You can see the previous weekend's snow hanging on in the background.

B loves to swing. She could swing for 30 minutes at a time.
