Nothing Much

Have you been wondering where we are and what we have been up to?
It has been a long time since I have posted anything, so hopefully you haven't forgotten about us.
To answer the question above: we haven't been anywhere and haven't been doing anything.

That may be a matter of opinion, I guess. Building 2-3 tents a day in the living room, playing Mario Kart and Rock Band on our new Wii, and running to the chiropractor is doing something. It has been too cold, windy, and icy to do anything outside, so shortly after Christmas we purchased a Wii. The whole family has had plenty of fun with that. Bria enjoys Tennis and Bowling, with a high score of 154. D and I only play the Wii when the kids are in bed (unless Bria asks to play), so that we don't end up ignoring them. We really get into the games.

I have included some random pictures from the last couple of weeks.

Bentley after in bath in her cute kitty towel.

Bentley sitting, propped up by the arm of the chair. She still isn't very interested in rolling over. She rolled over one time from her stomach to her back and that was enough. If she tries rolling from her back to her stomach she doesn't let herself go all the way over (she doesn't really like being on her stomach). With Bria providing all the entertainment who needs to go anywhere?

Bria trying to sit next to Bentley. It caused Bentley to lean over toward her, so Bria had to hold Bentley up. There is a lot of love between these two.

Bria and Bentley in one of the many tents we have built recently. Both girls are still in there pajamas. I'm sure it was an early morning, since Bria has been getting up between 6:30 and 7:00 am lately. That means that Bentley is up about a half hour later. Late nights playing Rock Band and early mornings with the girls makes for a tired Mom.

Four Months Old

Bentley turned 4 months old yesterday. I can't believe how big she's gotten, and how much her hair has grown.

Somehow her hair got really big on top, and with the headband in her do looks like it is straight out of the 80's. She is cute anyway.

After a nap I tried to take a few more pictures. The headband just wouldn't stay in this time, and tummy time still is not a big hit so these pictures were taken rather quickly.

Entertaining

Bria has really enjoyed playing the role of big sister. Entertaining Bentley is good entertainment for Bria too.

Bria "reading" a book to Bentley. A book that was actually one of Bentley's Christmas gifts.

When Bria laughs, Bentley laughs. Bria was trying to make her laugh by laughing herself.

A Little Late

For New Year's weekend we went to J's parents to celebrate Christmas. Since getting home we have been busy, lazy, or tired and I haven't gotten the blog updated. I am finally getting around to it while D is helping out with the girls.

We opened Christmas gifts on New Year's day, which was lots of fun. I think this is the first time we opened gifts without being ready for the day. Everybody's hair is a bit of a mess.

Bria and Bentley received lots of fun things. One of Bria's favorites was this tutu that goes with a pair of PJ's. She wears it with everything, and even had to wear it to Daddy's office one day this week.

Bria played her new game of Trouble with everyone.

Bentley with her Frosty the Snowman.

We spent some time outside on New Year's day playing in the huge snow pile. Grandma has all of those pictures. I even went out and played in the snow with everyone while D stayed in the warm house with Bentley. I really don't like the cold, but still had tons of fun. It was about 2 below and no wind. We were able to stay warm enough with all of the climbing and walking through the snow. Other activities included a large family Christmas gathering at J's grandparents that ended up being postponed from Christmas day. I saw some of my cousins and uncles and aunts that I haven't seen in years.

Now we are back home and settled back into life as usual. Hopefully, we will be home for a while now, with just a trip to a larger city/town for groceries.
