Babies

B loves to take care of her babies. Everything that she has to do her babies have to do too. She is very motherly.

B is putting her babies in the rocking chair and making sure they are nice and warm with their blankets.

B even has to show her babies what she is looking at out the window (or in the kitchen sink or in a book...).

It is lunch time, so one baby gets to sit in the "big chair" and the other baby is getting strapped into the booster seat.

Nigh'-Nigh'

B's new favorite place to go nigh'-nigh' is on the fireplace. First she has to lay all of her blankets out just right, then she puts her head on the hearth and covers herself with another blanket. It is really sweet, but never actually leads to any kind of sleep.

Camping

B and I went camping with my parents Monday. We do not rough it by any means. Also, we were close enough to D's parents that they were able to visit us for the evening. Both B and I enjoyed our time.

B was a Papa's girl.

We were able to go swimming and B had a blast. She has to do as much as possible on her own. Here is her attempt at floating on her stomach. She actually did very well.

B was really experimenting with how moving her body in the water allows her to float or move in a certain direction.

Papa was playing Ladder Golf with B. Any game that has balls that you throw is bound to be a good time for B. Later she decided moving them from one stand to the other was just as fun.

Grandma's are always prepared to entertain their grandchildren with bubbles, games, snack, you name it they will have it. B had lots of bubbles to chase.

Another game that Papa and B enjoyed was Bean Bag Toss. As soon as Papa would throw the bag B would run over and put it in the hole. She knew how to get the most points possible.

At the campground there was a B sized swing set, and guess who she wanted to push her? Papa.

Cooking

B likes to pretend to cook. This time she needed help from Daddy. We have a drawer of extra cooking utensils for B and she had to empty the whole thing to make this treat...Can you guess what it is?

It's Ice Cream, of course!

Cookies

Mommy had to make cookies and B needed to help. Daddy actually helped too, but he was the one taking pictures this time.

Mommy and B stirring the cookies.

The cookies were chocolate, which B absolutely loves, so she had to have a taste.

Can you tell how much she enjoyed them?

Laundry

B loves to "help" with all the chores. One of her favorites is doing the laundry.

Even though I wasn't planning on putting this load of laundry in, B found the pile of clothes on the floor and decided to put the whole thing in the washer.

Cows?

B wasn't feeling good at the beginning of this week, so we had to spend a lot of time inside. B and I spent a bit of time downstairs where it was really cool since she was running a fever. Of course, she couldn't sit still and rest even though she was sick. She was less 2 while she wasn't feeling well (less whining, crying, etc.). That didn't make much sense to me, but I was thankful.

B set up her fence and kept asking for the cows. We don't have any cows for her, so she called herself a cow. I think she would have settled for Denka (the cat) being a cow if she could have kept her in the fence.

July 4th Weekend

The 4th of July weekend was great. We had a blast with D's sister's family in the Cities. Aunt T (J's sister) even got to visit as well. B really loves her cousin C and would follow him anywhere.

The first thing B and C had to do was jump on the bed together.

B found a toy vacuum and made herself right at home vacuuming aunt H's house.

B and C went from jumping on the bed to jumping on the couch.

Then they decided to pretend they were sleeping on the couch.

See who is playing with the Play Dough? We had gotten it out for B, but all the adults ended up playing with it.

We all played at the beach before the fireworks started.

Here we are waiting for the fireworks to start.

Once the fireworks started both B and C went running to their Daddy's and sat on their laps as still as could be. It was extremely precious. The kids really loved it, and after a while even started saying "Kaboom" when the saw the fireworks shot into the air.

After our big night on the 4th we just hung out around the house, where B practically wore out C's swing.

The Dads were helping the kids get comfortable with the sprinkler ball. They all had a good time with it.

The regular sprinkler was a lot of fun too.

Daddy (Uncle D) makes a good seat.

Highlights

Here are some of the highlights from our time in HS. One of the best parts was catching up with our friends, unfortunately we do not have any pictures.

B played in the waterfall that was right in town. Once we discovered it, she kept wanting to go back. B really loves the water.

We brought B's booster seat to use in the hotel. It really came in handy for more than just meals.

B liked the pool, and it was a lot more fun when we got the "arm floaties". B could get around in the water by herself (I stayed as close as she would let me). She would even put her face in the water once in a while.

On the way home we took the scenic route. It may have been too much time in the car for B, but she liked going through the tunnels and seeing the buffalo, antelope, and donkeys.

On the Road

This was the start of our trip to HS in the BH last Monday. We got up early and got in the car. Keeping B entertained for the whole trip was difficult, but taking pictures helped for a while.

We didn't even do B's hair as it doesn't stay when she rides in her car seat.

At one of our stops B needed to get out of her car seat, and she loves to play in the front seat of the car.
