Christmas Begins

B had her Christmas at home this morning before we took off to my parents. We made sure she had a little bit of time to play before we had to leave.

Food for her kitchen.

Daddy even gave her a ride in the living room on the sled.

Playing Sick

We have all had some sickness recently. B likes to demonstrate what it was like when she was sick. Most recently I wasn't feeling the best and B thought it would be fun to imitate me.

B pretending to lay on the couch and sleep with the blanket on. She had to keep one eye open to see if I was taking the picture.

B thinks it is interesting to throw-up into a bucket, and had to pretend to do that as well. She has had several real experiences of that recently. This is not my most favorite thing to pretend, but thankfully it doesn't last long.

Cuddling with the Kitty

B really loves the cat. She follows the cat all over the house, and has to get right up to her face to talk to her. Surprisingly, the cat doesn't mind too much. One day B even laid her head on the cat for quite a while. They both seemed to enjoy it.

Fixing

D had the screw driver out for a project that he was working on. B found it and decided that her vacuum needed to be fixed. She was actually putting the screw driver in the the holes where the screws were, but she couldn't get them out. She worked on this "project" for a while. We thought it was cute. She always wants to be like Daddy.

Snow Suit

I had to go out and scoop the driveway the other day. That means that D was not at home, so B had to come outside with me. Thankfully she had gotten a snow suit from Grandma so she wouldn't be so cold. She loved being outside in the snow while I scooped. She even thought it was fun to lay down in the snow. I couldn't get a lot of pictures since I was busy working, and it was too cold to have the camera outside for very long.

All of B's winter wear, except her snow suit, is pink. I even got her snow boots the other day, but couldn't find them in purple. She doesn't match, and she doesn't care. She loves to walk through the snow, even when she only has on her tennis shoes. We were outside for an hour and she still wasn't ready to come in. Before, she would only last 10 minutes.

Christmas Decorating

We recently put up our Christmas tree. It was a lot of fun, B did what she could to help, and couldn't stop saying "Chistmas". She can't say all of her r's, but it is so cute.

B was very good at bringing the right colored branches for me to place in the stand. She loves to be a help.

B and Daddy had to hide under the tree skirt before it went under the tree.

B and Daddy in front of the Christmas tree. We had to stop decorating for the evening, since it was B's bed time. The next day we add the ornaments, which B also enjoyed. She liked Daddy's farm ornaments the best.

Thanksgiving

Hundreds of pictures to chose from...I think that these are a good representation of the weekend.

The cousins played together very well. I'm not sure what they were doing, but they all decided to play on the stairs (except the youngest, who was probably down for a nap).

Each one had to take their turn with Grandma, but there were so many of them that sometimes they had to take turns. B always loves to be with Grandma, so sometimes she would have to squeeze in when it was someone else's turn. Grandma doesn't mind.

Grandpa bought one small Thomas the Train track set a few years ago. It has grown exponentially since then and the kids always have to be playing with it. Sometimes the adults even get in on the fun.

The train tracks were in the living room and the hallway. If we could clear out the furniture in a couple of rooms I'm sure that the track would take up all of the space.

One of the boxes was empty of all the train stuff, so B went for a ride by sliding back and forth in the box.

I don't know how some of these activities get started, but one of the cousins is on the bed being tickled by the other cousins.

B and her youngest cousin. I don't think B wanted Daddy or I to hold anyone else without her being held too.

We took a small tree to Great Grandma's apartment and all of the grandkids helped decorate it. This picture has all of the grandkids in, which doesn't happen very often, especially without a bit of effort.

Grandpa not only has the train track, but he also has a Wii. I think someone is playing it during all waking hours, except at meals. There is never a lack of something to do. Grandpa even bought a basketball hoop this weekend so the guys and the grandkids had to get out and shoot hoops for a while (in the freezing cold).

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and look forward to seeing our families again over Christmas.

A Few Days at G & G's

B and I stayed with my parents for a few days before Thanksgiving since D was traveling for work in their area. B was sick when we left, so she wasn't quite herself while we were there. She still had a lot of fun. All of her aunts and uncles were able to be there as well.

Grandma took off her glasses to read to B, and B thought it would be fun to try them on. (She was trying to keep them, so her hands were always moving. Guess some pictures are just meant to be blurry.)

B playing with toys that I played with when I was little.

B chased G & G's cats around the house, even under the table.

B petting one of the cats.

Smell the Roses

Again, it has been a while since I have updated the blog. This picture was taken 2 weeks ago, and I am just getting the pictures up now.

D brought home these roses and B smells them by putting her whole face right in them. She enjoyed them just as much as I did. Thanks D!
