At the Lake

We had a great day at the lake yesterday. Some of our friends had a boat, so we went skiing and tubing. It was a beautiful day for it, and we had a lot of fun with our friends who we don't get to see all that often (due to job schedules). B came along and loved it too.

Daddy was helping B out of the boat while we made a quick stop back at the dock. She had been wanting to jump out of the boat and into the water every time we slowed down to pick up or switch skiers.

B is having a really good time. When we would stop or go to slow she would ask for more. The faster we went the more she loved it.

What day at the lake would be complete without throwing rocks into the water. K joined B in this adventure.

When throwing rocks it is always important to watch out for the people around you. Not an easy concept for kids this age.

Pool Fun

Summer is finally here for real, and to stay. It went from rainy and cool to hot and humid practically overnight. We had to get the pool out this week. After the water was in the pool for a whole day the water was already room temperature. B had a lot of fun in the pool.

B's first time in the pool since last summer. She's not very wet yet.

As B got more used to the water (which was still cold at this point) she got braver about sitting down in it. Of course, because it's B she couldn't sit for more than a few seconds.

Now B has had plenty of time to get wet, especially after finding the hose and deciding to continue to fill the pool herself.

When Daddy came home he had to help B swim. It consisted of sliding her back and forth in the water, but she loved it.

Peek - a - boo

J's Mom and Aunt D came for a day between Aunt D's various golf tourneys. B and Aunt D had a great time playing peek-a-boo around the kitchen counter.

B would keep running behind the counter to play again. This resulted in a lot of giggles, mostly from B, but the rest of us enjoyed it as well. B loves to be startled.

Father's Day Weekend

We all had a good time with D's parents over the Father's Day weekend. G & G loved it as well. What is better than a weekend with your granddaughter?

B really enjoyed the 4-wheeler this weekend. She kept asking for another ride, even though she was afraid to get on at first. It was better once Grandma got on with her.

The next day B had to have a ride with Daddy.

Building towers is always fun because B gets to knock it down.

B loves to be everywhere that Grandma is.

Digging in the dirt was another highlight. G & G got new cement (which B could not stop saying) which made some good digging dirt. B had to go dig in the dirt several times throughout the weekend.

G & G also have a fun rocking horse/highchair/desk. B preferred the rocking horse position and could really get it rocking on the kitchen floor.

Favorite Things

B loves to do the things that Mommy and Daddy do, especially when it involves being outside.

"Check Mail" is one of B's favorite things.

The basketball is also a lot of fun. B tries to dribble the ball like Daddy.

Dribbling the ball usually ends up in someone chasing it down the driveway. At least this time it was B.

Of course, the basketball can be used to do all kinds of other fun things.

Fun Weekend

Here are pictures from some of our different play times this weekend.

B loves to climb under the covers on our bed. The bed was made previous to its encounter with B. Oh well, the fun is worth it.

Coloring is a big deal. It is difficult however, to keep B from coloring the table. Of course, all of our coloring books are about the farm. So Daddy has to help color some of the pictures green.

B loves it when Daddy is home for the weekend. She gets all wound up, just like she does when Grandpa and Grandma come, but she also loves to be rolled up in a blanket to be a burrito.

"B Burrito"

Husking corn was a new experience for B. She had a good time because she got to do it with Daddy. When Daddy gets home, B can't let him out of her sight.

Bath Time

Bath time is fun for the whole family. It usually results in Mommy and B being all wet, as B likes to throw cups of water around. This particular bath was very entertaining as B kept telling us stories. Sorry, that we don't have any video of her stories to post. You can see by her open mouth that she was in the middle of a story.

Bubbles

B loves to chase bubbles. B is getting more independent every day and tries to blow the bubbles herself, but that usually just results in the bubbles getting in B's mouth. Yuck! She doesn't seem to mind.
