Warm Days

We have had a few fairly decent days scattered among either cold or rainy days, so we try to make the best of them and get outside. Here are some cute pictures of B. I only got a couple because it is really hard to get her to stand still.

The leaves almost completely covered the ground and B loved to pick out the ones that were different.

This is about as much as I could do to get B to pose.

B came up behind me and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I was really sweet, but it is hard to take a picture of yourself.

Spilled Milk

B likes to use a regular cup now. However, we try to do it only when she isn't running around, like at meals. Of course this means I need to expect a few spills, which I do. What I didn't expect was to not to have to clean it up. As soon as B spills her milk, the cat is running right over to lick it up. It is kind of funny.

Cousins

B was able to see all of her cousins recently, which she really enjoyed. Unfortunately, the circumstances surrounding the get together were not as joyful. D's grandpa passed away.

B with two of her cousins waiting for tractor rides with their grandpa. It was difficult to get two two-year olds and a three year old to sit still for a picture.

B with cousin I. Grandma has this little bench in the hallway, and somehow B ended up sitting with every one of her cousins in it at some point throughout our stay. I is B's youngest cousin, so when he didn't want to sit for the picture any longer she would try to pull him back into the seat.

B gave cousin C a hug from behind and it caused them both to fall over. Neither one seemed to mind.

B and cousin C playing while grandpa played the Wii.

B loves to hide under the covers of any available bed. Here she convinced grandpa and cousin J to join her.

Farming

We were able to briefly visit J's parents, and D was able to do some farming. B loves to visit D when he is driving the tractor. So B and I went to the farm for a ride.

Little Climber

B is a "Little Climber". She even calls herself a "Little Climber" too.

B climbed onto my tiny vanity to hang up a new hand towel for me. I didn't even ask her to. When I came into the bathroom she was standing there trying to hang it up.

B likes to get into my makeup while I am getting ready. So, to get better access she figured out how to climb up the handles on the dresser to get to everything.

B also figured out how to get in and out of her pack and play this weekend, and decided to try doing the same in her crib. She got stuck in this position, and thankfully has not tried again.

B's Time With The Grandparents

B's vacation from us, with her grandparents. It looks like she had a good time.

J's Parents

Rides on the tractor with grandpa.

B driving the tractor!

It was still warm enough to play in the sprinkler.

Fun on the merry-go-round.

B loves to help with dishes, especially when grandma let's her play with the bubbles.

D's Parents

Posing for the camera.

Hiding in the bucket, or wearing it as a hat?

In grandma's bed with all of grandma's stuffed animals.

Vacation

OK! So it has been a week since we have been home from our vacation. After getting resettled (and adjusted to the climate) here at home, D and I got sick. It is really tough to take care of a two year old when you aren't feeling well, especially when both parents don't feel well. We are doing much better now, so we are playing catch up. Enough of that, let's get on to the vacation...

D and I had a good time. It was good to take it easy, relax, and do what we wanted to when we wanted to. It gave us time to reconnect after all of D's travel for work, which will be much less for the remainder of the year. Of course, one of the best parts of vacation is the food. We did miss B, and she missed us to, but we were constantly reminded that a child that age would not have fun on vacation and would make it difficult for their parents as well. Also, being away from B makes us appreciate our time with her even more.

Here are a few pictures from our trip...

This is the Aerosmith roller coaster. It is hard to take a picture of yourselves and get a decent shot of the background.

D put together his own Mr. Potato Head. There were lots of toys that you could build and buy any variety of pieces for, but I thought this was the best.

Magic Kingdom, Cinderella's Castle

Most of you will see more pictures and hear more stories when we see you next.
