Yesterday, we spent the day helping our friends do "cattle work" (as Bria calls it). The "we" was really just D, but the girls and I were there to watch. Bria had a lot of fun because there were other girls her size to play with (although those girls are expected to work some too). Around here no child is too young to be put to work.
Rounding up the cattle from the pasture. D is one of the people on a horse.
Waiting for the calves to be moved into the coral.
This calf is the calf that Bria say being born earlier this spring.
Bria and a couple of the girls watching on the fence.
One of these girls is not like the others,
One of these girls doesn't belong...
Obviously, Bria is not a real cowgirl.
Proof that even Bentley and I were out there!
The pins for the tub became guns.
Bria following her little friend. Bria went almost everywhere she went.
We had a great day. I think all of our faces are a little red from all the sun and wind. There is nothing better than crawling into bed after a long day of hard work.
