Week With the Cousins

Last week was a busy week. B and I went and helped D's parents watch 3 of B's cousins while their parents went on vacation. We had to be creative with our activities so we did all kinds of different things. Thankfully, some of G and G's friends from church brought meals and fun games/toys.

One day I built the kids a fort. It wasn't very big, but they all fit. As they would crawl in and out it would usually collapse.

One person who brought food also brought a very delicious ice cream desert. B enjoyed it a lot. The other kids did too, but nobody was as messy as she was.

It is a good thing grandma has a lot of balls (and other toys). Generally, whatever one kid did the others wanted to be doing the same thing. That did result in some quarreling, but that was to be expected.

The kids were all playing some game that they made up themselves.

All of the kids like music. They would fit as many on the piano bench as they could and play the piano and sing made up songs. We never did get the words as the kids were all singing different words anyway.

On a couple of the really warm days we took some time to splash in the pool. It would start out completely full and within half an hour have only half an inch of water left. They really enjoyed being outside. We tried to do as many outside activities as we could depending on the weather.

B and cousin I were a little chilly after their time in the pool and had to take some time to warm up.

By the end of the week everyone was a little exhausted. B and grandpa laid down on Sunday to get some rest.

There were lots of other activities that we didn't even get pictures of because we were so busy keeping our eye on 4 very active kids.
